Whether you’re already obsessed with soon-to-be-princess Kate Middleton’s naturally beautiful looks and fashion sense, or you haven’t yet noticed, it will soon be very hard to ignore.  The 29-year old Kate has since been deemed as a fashion icon for her healthy, svelte figure and down-to-earth (read: normal) approach to style.

By now it is clear that any outfit or handbag worn by Kate Middleton will be the next major sellout at Saks or the buzzworthy boutiques.  In just six months, fashionista Kate is responsible for causing a major rush at stores.   While many in her position would choose priceless couture, the sensible Kate has opted to wear labels a large population of Women can afford.  No doubt she’ll be a fashionable mom in the future!

Her sapphire-colored dress by Issa caused a rush at boutique Harvey Nichols

The most talked-about style anywhere, for the moment, is the sapphire-hued Issa dress the future princess wore to stand by her Prince William’s side while announcing their engagement in October 2010.  New York Magazine’s The Cut recently described the major rush at Harvey Nichols (where the blue dress was originally sold) as a swarm of shoppers who have “gone Issa mad.”   Her most recent trend will result in bringing Diesel jeans back to the trends list — Kate has been spotted several times in the brand’s bootcut style jeans.  Lest we forget Tod’s D-Bag (pictured above), a tote used by Kate and named for Princess Diana.

Kate’s use of glamorous suits and standout colored gowns is regularly compared to Diana, whose youthful beauty never failed to shine.   Past photos show Kate dolled up in typically young, sexy looks, including a totally sheer lingerie dress she wore for a charity fashion show at the university where both she and William attended (the under-$50 outfit, which is said to be the look that caught the prince’s eye, sold for $125,781 at an auction last month).  While lingerie-bearing days may be over, the Royal Wedding — including bridal gown by a mystery designer — is sure to be the fashion event of this year.
